We Are AAHA-Accredited
The American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization of its kind to offer accreditation to animal hospitals that meet their standards of excellence. AAHA-accredited animal hospitals must meet rigorous guidelines in order to become accredited—and then must continue to meet those standards year after year to remain accredited. Members of Our Staff Are Fear-Free Certified
Veterinary visits don’t have to be stressful! As Fear Free Certified Professionals, our staff know how to keep your pet calm and help them have a better vet experience. Becoming Fear Free Certified took extra training through Fear Free Pets, which taught us to recognize the subtle signs of fear and stress in pets—and to alleviate that fear.
We use several techniques to help reduce anxiety in cats and dogs, including:
- Using pheromone sprays to create a calming atmosphere for pets
- Encouraging cooperation with positive reinforcement and treats
- Giving pets the chance to get comfortable in their new environment before we begin an exam
- Using low-stress handling to reduce fear
